Glenorie

Glenorie is situated in the Hills District approximately 40kms (1 hours drive) from the Sydney CBD. It is a lovely town offering great rural surroundings, yet within close proximity to Castle Hill and Hornsby.

Glenorie has a relatively small population with a close knit community. The village has all of the necessary facilities including a primary school, child care, small shopping mall, petrol station etc.

Located approximately 65kms from the CBD, Maroota is a great spot for those seeking a peaceful, rural lifestyle. Wisemans Ferry

Wisemans Ferry is located on the glorious Hawkesbury River approximately 35 minutes drive from our office in Glenorie (1 hour 35 min from the CBD). It is a beautiful historic town and offers a quiet and peaceful lifestyle, within easy commuting distance to Castle Hill, Hornsby or Gosford.

The town has a great, country feeling and offers all the necessities such as a petrol station, primary school, child care centre, small shopping centre, beautiful old pub, Bowling Club as well as five star resort with conference facilities and golf course.

There are two car ferries in Wisemans Ferry. To access 'The Main Ferry', drive through the town and follow the road around to the left past the Golf Course.

To access the 'Webbs Creek' Ferry, take a sharp left at the bottom of the hill before entering the village. Both ferries are free of charge and are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with the exception of the occasional maintenance day when the ferries are closed for a couple of hours.

Wisemans Ferry is a great place to live permanently or to enjoy weekend getaways.

St Albans

St Albans is truly a beautiful part of the Hawkesbury area located approximately 23 kms from Wisemans Ferry. The majority of properties that we sell in St Albans are large acreage that are just perfect for those wishing to get away from the hustle and bustle and is within an easy 2 hour drive from Sydney. There are some smaller blocks around the town centre.

The main attraction in St Albans is the Settlers Arms Hotel which was convict built in 1836 and became a major overnight stop over for Cobb & Co coaches travelling between Sydney and Newcastle. It's a beautiful old pub that is popular with the locals and visitors.

Basic facilities are available in St Albans such as petrol, bread, milk etc.

Spencer

Spencer has often been referred to as 'The Hub of the Universe' by its residents and visitors. The town of Spencer is located on the banks of the Hawkesbury River approximately 20 kms from Wisemans Ferry and can easily be accessed from the F3 by taking the Wisemans Ferry/Mangrove Mountain turnoff. Spencer has boomed in recent years and has become a popular choice for homebuyers due to its relaxed atmosphere. It's a great place to live or to have a weekend getaway.

Spencer is within 45 mins drive to Hornsby/Gosford which makes it attractive to commuters.

There are basic facilities in Spencer including a primary school and a general store/petrol station.

Gunderman

Gunderman is located along the Hawkesbury River approximately 10 minutes downstream from Wisemans Ferry, just before Spencer. There are no facilities in Gunderman itself. It is a lovely peaceful little spot that's just ideal for getting away from the rat race. Gunderman also offers good opportunities for first home buyers.

Lower Portland

Lower Portland is nestled at the junction of the Colo and Hawkesbury River systems. It is approx 20 km from Wisemans Ferry and 35 km from Glenorie. Facilities in Lower Portland are minimal but the peace and quiet makes up for that. Windsor is only a 20 minute drive.

Sackville

Located just upstream from Lower Portland, Sackville is yet another beautiful part of the Hawkesbury River. It's just half an hour to Glenorie or 15 mins to Windsor. Sackville is also a great opportunity for those looking to break into the acreage market.
